Extensive knowledge of and experience in massage therapy and yoga as instructor and business owner, with teaching and group presentation experience at the college level.
As Massage Therapist, areas of concentration include techniques for chronic pain issues, acupressure, myofascial release and deep tissue massage augmented by procedures such as reflexology, polarity and tragering, and providing individual guidance and assessment to clients.
As M/T, gave an annual presentation on TMD / Bruxism treatment via massage therapy techniques to KVCC Dental Hygiene students from 1997- 2014
As Yoga Instructor, developed a yoga program for KCHA, and provided instruction to the general public for 8 years prior to opening a successful yoga studio.
For 18 years, has been teaching yoga classes for the Wellness Department at KVCC with total classroom responsibility that included course syllabus development, assignment preparation and student performance assessment.
Other teaching experience includes presentations at Kalamazoo College, Mattawan High School, Croyden School and Women’s Festival, and class instruction at Portage YMCA, Sangha Yoga and Kalamazoo County Wellness Programs.
